Abstract With the increasing prevalence of bilingual public and private schools, Common European Framework Reference for Languages heavily influences how English is taught in Spain, emphasizing plurilingualism communicative competence, underlining importance education to reduce inequality discrimination, improving intercultural understanding. Since can greatly impact this scenario (whether positively or negatively), it important outline advantages disadvantages nowadays. Additionally, we should admit that language classes both disprove propagate stereotypes, providing opportunities due ubiquity language, although not everyone. This study aims evaluate success secondary education, if effectively gives opens students new cultures raises awareness about racism. A survey was conducted with 406 Compulsory Secondary Education 1st 4th grades at three schools Community Madrid. We hypothesized would be more open difference likely recognize challenge discrimination.
